Somewhere in Japan

Yes, this project is still live! An announcement.

First, this is still a live project, just one that is temporarily on hold. I believe in this concept, but at the moment, life has gotten in the way.

This autumn, my partner and I will move to a new apartment in a different city in the Tokyo area. This will be a good thing for us, and we’re really looking forward to it.

However, between now and then, there is an immense amount of work to be done, and I simply don’t have the time or energy to work on this project. Fortunately, this is only temporary.

Once we have made the move, this project will officially launch. Instead of focusing on the original area specified in the description, it will focus on our new city and neighborhood.

Being somewhere new will inject much-needed freshness and energy into the endeavor, and the project will provide an excellent creative outlet to help jumpstart my activities in the new location (for which I have high intentions).

Much as I love where I live now, it remains that I have gotten bogged down here. This move signals much more than a change of scenery. Instead, it is indicative of a large, deliberate shift in direction, away from the soul-sucking working life I’ve fallen into and towards the sort of creatively driven lifestyle I intended to build for myself here in the first place.

This is a time for personal reinvention. This is a time for engineering my second act.

Somewhere in Japan, including this sub-project, will be an ongoing part of my journey for the foreseeable future. By nature, it is my inclination to explore, create, and share, and this is where my efforts will be focused.

  1. Hello, my name is Tomy, a 25-year-old living in Tokyo.

Since I was a child, I have loved taking photographs.

Even now, taking photographs during my morning walks has become a habit, or rather, a reflex.

That’s how much I love photography.

If you don’t mind, I would love to hear more details about your project.

I like your photographs. I look forward to your reply.
